Cinnabon Hearts

This year is already flying by… Valentine’s Day is already creeping up. How do I press pause?
Some people are iffy about Valentine’s Day, like me I don’t celebrate it but I do like all the artsy fartsy stuff you can come up with this oh so “special day”. When I think of Valentine’s Day all I can imagine is an explosion of reds, pinks and hearts in every store. Who ever came out with the symbol of a heart [💜💗<3], good on you, it’s definitely a lot easier to draw then the one we need to live.

Just because I don’t partake in the lovey dovey aspect of Valentine’s day, doesn’t mean I don’t like making things and shaping them into a heart. I have nothing against that. My planner the week of Valentine’s Day is all red/pink (have to keep up with my planning game).

For fun I made heart-shaped cinnabons and sprinkled heart candies on top. Really easy and cheesy. Perfect for Valentines Day.

What you need:
1 Pillsbury grand cinnabons
1/2 cup icing (comes with cinnabon)
1/2 cup heart sprinkles
1 cup sugar crystals (optional)
1 baking sheet

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a baking sheet with butter, or spray cooking oil.
Unwind each roll of cinnabon and shape into a heart, leaving the ends curled and pinching the bottom to further emphasize the heart tip, it’s better to over pinch and dip the bottom because they puff up sooooo much.

Spread each heart evenly on pan

Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 5 minutes before placing on a cooling rack.

After 5 minutes on the cooling rack, drizzle icing, and if you choose sugar crystals and heart sprinkles.

YUM. Now place them in front of a fan and watch how fast everyone in the house starts running for them. Who doesn’t LOVE Cinnabons?
